YOUTH CENTRES PROGRAMMES
Informing and counselling
Informing and counselling usually takes place in the regional youth centres. Trained professional workers give counselling to individuals or groups, spread information to everybody who is interested (information from the field of education and educational processes, free time, law, social welfare, prevention of threatening behaviour between young peopleand similar).
Informal education Informal education is very important in modern society because it is offering young people a chance to get new useful skills and knowledge they can use at their everyday life and work. Highly trained professionals for different fields who have the knowledge and skills and are willing toshare it with young people teach informal education classes. International projects The most common international projects are connected to the National agency for “Youth” programs and in connection with it they organise and participate in international youth exchanges, voluntary work, youth initiatives, trainings and similar. There is also some networking between one or more Slovene organisations with international organisation. The example of greater cooperation is MISSS as a member of the ERYICAnetwork. Youth entertainment Almost all regional youth centres have different programs which main objective is entertainment of young people. Mostly on Friday and Saturday evenings they organise concerts; different performances; theatre, literal and dance shows, classes, round tables and similar activities.
