You can swim in the Adriatic Sea or in numerous lakes and rivers across the country.

You can go kayakingcanoeing and rafting on the Idrijca, KolpaSava and Soca rivers.

Mountaineering is a traditional Slovene sport - the Julian and Kamnik Alps are particularly popular. The Triglav National Park in particular is a great place for keen trekkers and climbers, with mighty Mount Triglav itself the highlight.

Parachutingparagliding and ballooning are also very popular.

There are many recreational sporting events held throughout the year across the country.

We mustn't left out bicycling as there are wonderful routes for bikes. And it doesn't' really matter if you are a road biker of off-road. Both are very welcome. Just one request - be respectful to the environment because we all have the responsibility to keep it clean. You will probably want to come back so way not come back to that beauty you fell in love with?

There are also a few running ‘marathons'. Well, some are very real but others just want people to run as much as the can. A kilometre or two, it doesn't really matter as long as you are moving. Join in, maybe just to see how much you are capable.  There are also some king of games accompanying it it's a good place to meet new people.
