Main attractions in Slovenia are with no doubt Ljubljana, Postojna cave and Bled. And let us explain why that is so.
Ljubljana is the capital of Slovenia and offers the most for everyone. It has lots of hotels, hostels - one is known far, far around. It's called Celica and is basically reconstructed prison with cells made for guests. Booked a few months ahead (at lest in summer time) so please hurry if you plan to stay there. Churches, even cathedral are very well restored so you can get a good feeling of what they looked like a few centuries ago.

Castle is the first thing anyone sees when he or she comes to Ljubljana. Well, it would be strange if so as the castle in standing on the hill in the middle of Ljubljana. The current castle was being built in 16t and 17th century on the ruin of the previous one which was destroyed in an earthquake. Today, the castle is mainly used for ceremonies, especially weddings on Wednesdays and Saturdays. And there is a great view at Ljubljana from the tower. Many Ljubljanians enjoy walking on the hill as it's covered with many routes. There are also other castles in the city, maybe not that popular but very interesting to visit.
Market on Saturdays is special. Fresh vegetables and fruit, farmers from all around Ljubljana come there to sell their goods. Bars are full. The atmosphere is astonishing, everything is aromatic. You can try different things, talk all morning, ask for recipes, how to make this and that. Sometimes nearby there is art market, where you can buy used and new pieces of art at slightly reduced price. A lot of people come just for that.
Churches are all around Ljubljana. The most visited are Cathedral, Frančiškanska cerkev, Serbian Orthodox church with its full diversity and similarity joined together.
Parks and neighboring spots, like Lake Cerknica, Šmarna gora mountain, Velika planina mountain, Pekel waterfalls.

Let's move on to Postojna cave which is maybe even more popular than Ljubljana. We can't tell you what kind of feeling is to drive with a train in the cave. It's known world-wide. Hundreds of thousands visitors come in Postojna each year. But let's not forget other caves, like Škocjan caves - that magnificent place on earth.

Lake Bled - popular for more than a century. Kings and princes stayed there. What is special there is a small island at the middle of the lake with a church standing on is. In Julian Alps with clean air and many things to do (hiking, bicycling, skiing...).
But, there is always but. But really, give Slovenia more time and maybe you will find out what we meant with those words on the first page.
We will give you a few hints and of course links to then:
