Cash and credit cards

Euro is the currency in use in Belgium as most of the European countries.

So this is what you need to pay cash. But in most of the shops credit cards are accepted as well and logically it's written at the entrance of the store you want to go in.

ATM's

In the case credit cards are not accepted, you will need to go to a money machine. It's called in Belgium "Bancontact - Mister cash". They are usually located next to banks and post offices.

Changing money

If you have a foreign currency you want to change, it's also possible. You can do that in banks and in some exchange offices. Generally it's more expensive to do so in the exchange office. And sometimes it might be more interesting to just go to an ATM.
