Communication
There are only few phone booths in Finland nowadays, especially in the smaller towns you cannot find any phone booths since almost everyone has a mobile in their pocket. If you have a phone, you can buy a prepaid Finnish simcard for it from an operator store or from kiosks. You can also buy a phonecard that can be used on public pay phones. Sim cards can be obtained at local Kioski´s and mobile phone shops. Nowadays you can also put money to your phone through internet. Some examples are in the related links. To get online with your friends and family, try the nearest library. Most of the libraries have computers with internet access for customers to use for free. Free access to internet can also be found at local youth information centres and points. Some cafés and pubs have internet access too, but there you may have to pay for it few euros.
Postal services
Post offices can be found in most of the towns. It is common that a post office operates also from a shop or supermarket. Stamps can be bought from kiosks (especially the ones with blue and yellow stripes), post offices and some shops. For more information about postal services in Finland.
