Working hours

Generally all the shops and services are open on working days from 8-9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Big supermarkets and department stores are open longer and also during the weekends round. There are some shops open non-stop in the CR. Also some of the pubs and restaurants work all day long but most of them close about 1 a.m.

Sundays, Saturdays and public holidays are days when the majority of authorities and banks are closed; on Sundays and holidays, shops are often closed as well. On the other hand, most restaurants, bars and tourist attractions usually stay open. You should remember that public transportation services are significantly limited on these days, and the intervals are much longer than on working days.

Authorities and offices work are publicly open on Mondays and Wednesdays.
