Volunteering outside of Luxembourg
Multiple reasons can motivate you to take part in a voluntary service. There are short-term services (3 - 4 weeks for example in building sites during the summer), medium-term services (up to 6 months) and long-term services (6 to 24 months), mainly done at the end of schooling. The expenses, which fall to the young volunteers depend on each organizer. But in general, one can say that the expenses for a year in volunteering are hardly higher than the ones for a "normal" year. Usually, the organisation, which offers stays as a volunteer charges itself with settling the questions of insurances. Nevertheless, it is your duty to check up all the conditions.
