Hitchhiking 

Eventhough one does not encourage it, you can hitchhike in Belgium except on motorways and entrance ramps.But be sure that the drivers can see you clearly as well as your destination.

Co-conveyance

It's an easy and economic way to travel around in the country. Moreover it's also a possibility to create contacts with people. How does it work ? It's simple... You go to one of the following website. You haveto create an account bu it's free. Then you search for a car that's having the same way you do. Of course you'll have to pay the driver something, but it's cheaper than renting a car and you have someone to talk to and to share experiences with.

You can as well use this system as a driver and welcome one or more passengers.

Car sharing

You need a car but not all the time. You don't want to bother with maintenance and you're bored in looking for a parking space. The car sharing system is for you.

You pay a monthly membership (the price varies from the type of session you want to have), and there's a car waiting for you in the cities with their own parking space. You can a personal Cambiocard with an identification number (it's your car key). You make a reservation online (on the website) or by phone (all phone numbers here), for the time you need 1 hour, 1 week. And there you go, your car is available. Monthly you'll receive your bill with all the detailed informations on your ways.

Car renting

The car renting is of course not the cheapest way to travel, but it can be useful if there's no public transport available in the location you want to be or if there's no cambio point...

To rent a car you must be at least 18 and have a valid driving licence. You will find different car renting agencies on the Golden Pages  website.
