Tele-Onthaal  (counselling)

You can contact Télé-Onthaal24/7. In Flanders, dial the free number 106 [NL].  If you surf on their website (www.tele-onthaal.be [NL]), you will be able to communicate online with social workers at certain moments of the day. This service is free and anonymous just like the phone service.  

Helpline for children and youths

You can also contact Kinder- en Jongerentelefoon everyday between 4 and 8 PM, dial the free number 0800 15 111 [NL]. You can also send a letter to Postbus 50, 2800 Mechelen or an email to brievenbus@kjt.org . You will be able to chat with a social worker on Wednesdays between 6 and 9 PM.

Druglijn (drug helpline)

You can call Druglijn if you have a question or a problem regarding the use of drugs. This helpline is anonymous and will not judge you. You can call them on 078 15 10 20 (local tariff wherever you are in Belgium) from Monday to Friday for 12 to 9 PM and on Saturdays for 3 to 9 PM. www.druglijn.be  [NL, FR, EN]  

Suicide prevention centre

Aids and soa-telefoon

You have questions about relationships, AIDS, and other sexually transmitted diseases? Contact Aids and soatelefoon. You can have an individual contact with a specialist every Wednesday from 2 to 8 PM, every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday until 10 PM and every Saturday between 2 and 5 PM. JACs (youth helpline)

If you have a problem or any type of question, you can get counselling from a counselling centre for youths (Jongerenadviescentrum or JAC). A specialised assistant will give you the required information and will listen to you. If you have a more specific problem you can also contact JAC for help and or advice. This is an anonymous and free service. However, in certain cases you will be asked for a financial contribution.  You will find these centres in most towns in Flanders. JIPS (information for youth)

In information centres for youth JIP (JongerenInformatiePunt), you will be able to look for information on any subject but you can also get counselling. If you want, a JIP worker can help you find the answer to your question or a solution to your problem.
