Perast

Perast

From the corner of youth

About the city

  • Visiting Perast must be one of the stop points on your way around Boka Bay.
  • Small and cute city, smaller than Kotor.
  • The place is famous for antic history and culture.
  • Local people are not satisfied with the life in Perast.
  • Perast is little but very beautiful city.
  • Very quite place, and maybe more appropriate for older people.
  • I couldn’t find any market; I heard there were 2 or 3 smaller but they just aren’t visible enough.
  • There were no many tourists and I liked it.
  • The nature is beautiful.
  • There are some coffee bars and restaurants.
  • The view is wonderful.
  • The road is horrible.
  • “The boat will take you to do small paradise on the Earth – Gospa od Skrpjela”.
  • “Pirat bar” is very nice, but maybe too loud. It is still the only vivid place for young people to have fun.

Monuments

  • Islands are beautiful, and it takes 1 hour to visit it and hear about many interesting facts, religious and cultural.
  • Special building style is noticeable – old stone houses.
  • The church and the museum are very interesting; the guide is ok, but a bit too fast speaker.
  • The entrance in church is free and you must pay 1euro to enter the museum.
  • Visiting Perast is a great opportunity to learn about a culture of the city.
  • It is nice to rent a boat and cruise around the bay. That way you can decide upon: what to see, how long to stay and etc.
  • I missed a brochure or some kind of informatory about interesting places to visit. It should be free.
  • There are some important traditional manifestations that are nice to see and participate in.

For who is it?

  • Young people who want to rest from everyday stress come here.
  • “It is a place for relax and contact with nature”.  “It’s a city for ZEN :), not for parties, just relaxing and filling your batteries.“
  • There are no public places such as cinema, cafeteria, sport club, youth club… for young people to spend their free time.
  • It’s a great place to climb mountains and to walk through nature, taking a trip by boat to the islands, for swimming and relaxing.
  • Perast is nice choice for going with friends; it would be great for camping if there would be any camp place.
  • It is also a family place.
  • For young people this is “one day city”.
  • There are no good beaches, they are often very small. There are no places to change clothes or public toilets.
  • Perast is the most beautiful in the Boka Bay.
  • It is a place for relaxation and thinking.
