Work for students:
According to article 62(2) of the Ordinance on the Movement of Persons (PVO), the primary purpose of the stay in Liechtenstein must be to study. Since 1 January 2005, students are allowed to work up to 35% as a temporary employee. During semester break (mid-June to the end of September), students are free to work up to 100% in Liechtenstein.
Completing an internship is allowed, if the course of studies includes the acquisition of practical professional experience in the curriculum and the responsible director of studies recognizes the internship as an integral part of the programme. This activity may exceed the 35% restriction.
The employer must submit the employment or internship contract to the Immigration and Passport Office before the student begins employment or an internship.

Au Pair
