If you're going to spend your holiday in the Netherlands, you'll probably stay for a short while (for example a few weeks).There are several places you can choose from to spend your nights. Needless to say that the choice you make depends on your budget and your preferences.HotelsIf money is not that of an issue, you can stay in a hotel. If you plan to travel in the holiday season (May-September) it's strongly recommended that you book ahead. Prices range from euro 40 up to "Hilton" level. This price usually includes breakfast.You can go to the VVV tourist information office, if you want to make a reservation at your arrival in the Netherlands. When you come to Rotterdam, you can also go to Use-it. Use-it is a service- and information centre for young (budget) tourists. If you make your reservation at Use-it, you can get discounts and have 'last-minute super deals' in great hotels too!. Youth Hostels and sleep-inIf you plan to spend less money on your night, you can go to a youth hostel. With the Hostelling International card, you can get €2,50 discount. There are 30 youth hostels in the Netherlands.Book ahead if you plan to travel during the holiday season. Prices range from €19,-  to €40,- depending on facilities and number of people in the room.

CampsitesIf you like to sleep out in the open, camping is also an option. In summer, it won't be a problem to find a campsite, but during the winter it can be more difficult, because most of them are closed, also due to the weather conditions!  The ANWB (Royal Dutch Touring Club) or the VVV tourist information office can help you at  a list of Dutch campsites. Prices depend on the campsite facilities, but expect them to be between €8,- and €20,-  a night for two persons and one tent. At some campsites it's possible to rent a cabin. Cabin prices are between €32,- and €47,-. Bed & BreakfastAnother not too expensive option, is Bed & Breakfast. In other words: renting a room in private homes or in a guesthouse.
