Student Grant
The ib-groep is the first place to contact if you are eligible for a student grant [dutch studiefinanciering].
The Erasmus Exchange Programm - studying abroad
Besides ‘studiefinanciering’ there are special program’s to study with a grant. The Erasmus Exchange programme is for students who are studying higher education in Europe. They can apply for a study or follow training from 3 up to 12 months in another European country. The studies are free of charge and accepted as part of your studies in your home country. The Erasmus Exchange Program which was established in 1987 is based in cooperation with many higher education schools, so you need to ask about it from the contact person in your school. The Programme is named after the humanist and theologian Desiderius Erasmus of Rotterdam (1465-1536) whose travels for work and study took in the era’s great centres of learning, including Paris, Leuven and Cambridge.
For more Information about the programm see the European Commission / Education & Training: //ec.europa.eu/education
You can already check out the Erasmus Blog. Being part of an exchange program is the easiest way (and most times the cheapest!) to study in The Netherlands. A lot of Dutch institutions for higher education have there agreements about exchange with institutions world-wide so you have to ask your own university or college for the possibilities.
