Accommodation
What is certain is that you can find accommodation in all three regions of Montenegro – northern, central and southern.
If you are looking for youth hostels, you have a related link below. Also, there is possibility to rent the room in students houses, but only when students have summer vacation. On the other hand, there are some other available possibilities. Of course, this depends on amount of money you have got with you or want to spend on accommodation:
• If you want to stay in a hotel, the prices range between 15 and 300 Euros – depending on the hotels. For instance, the hotel accommodation in Podgorica and Budva is very expensive. Still, there are ranges of hotels that you can go to and pay 15-25 Euros per night (breakfast included).
• Very popular accommodation in Montenegro is in private houses. It allows you greater comfort and relaxation at cheaper prices than in hotels, but there you need to prepare food for yourself. This kind of accommodation is very popular during summer and if you decide to just go and travel by our seaside, you can see people beside the street with the advertisements for this type of accommodation. Do not be surprised, but simply approach them. Anyway, here we suggest that you check with couple of them, so as to be certain that you get realistic price, because sometimes people can get advantage of the strangers when accommodation is in question.
• If you decide to simply bring a tent and sleeping bag, you can visit a campsite near Budva on the seaside, pay some small money and get very well equipped place in the nature with various small beaches around and below. This camp is highly visited place during summer.
• In the mountains, the accommodation can be in a hotel (the prices as we mentioned), or in private houses (a bit more expensive) or you can simply decide to go tone of the ethno villages and enjoy typically Montenegrin atmosphere and food.
If, however, you want to stay longer in Montenegro, you will need to find house or apartment by yourself that you want to rent because there are not still agencies that under favorable conditions to do this for you. Depending on which part of Montenegro you wish to stay the prices vary. In the south and central part of Montenegro's prices are slightly higher compared to the north. How to find out about possibilities? You can simply buy a newspaper and check (you’ll, of course, need a interpreter if you don’t know the language) and call or even go to a place/town you choose and ask people living there. They all have some information.
